A cake smash photo session is a great way for parents to capture their child’s first birthday. A cake smash photo session is a fun and memorable way to document your child’s first year. It’s also an opportunity to create lasting memories of the event while celebrating your family’s milestone. I have put together a checklist of all the things you will need before the big day, and tips on how to get the most out of your photos.
Deciding on the type of Cake:
The first thing you need to do is pick out a cake. I recommend going with iced cakes like carrot and red velvet, because they stay fresh longer. Some other cake options are chocolate, or vanilla sponge cake with butter cream frosting . Whatever cake you choose, make sure to prepare it ahead of time so that it’s fresh. If you’re going with an iced cake, I recommend putting a piece in the freezer for about 30 minutes so that the frosting is set and firm for the session.
Deciding about time for the Photo-session :
Make sure to schedule the session around your baby’s nap time, either in morning sessions when they are awake and full of energy or in the evening after their afternoon nap.
Arriving early for the session:
Arriving early for the session will give time for the Baby to accommodate to the new environment.
Carrying extra Snacks and Feeding Bottle:
Make sure to carry extra snacks and a feeding bottle. Your Toddler is bound to be hungry with all the smashing of cake.
Favorite Music :
Make sure to download and save your baby’s favorite musical so they are entertained and excited during the Cake Smash session.
Rest, this is the session for your family to enjoy and make a memory of the major Milestone!!!
So just relax and let the photos do the talking. See you are the Cake Smash soon.
